The Walls of Jam'a A-Sittin

South of the main road coming down the hill towards the Tel Shiloh area is an archaeological site, not adequately investigated, known as Jam'a A-Sittin, most probably the 'Friday Mosque' or 'The Band of the Sixty' and has also been referred to as 'Kubat A-Sakhina' (Dome of the Divine Presence).

It has Roman foundations, Byzantine elements and perhaps there is a Jewish structure (a synagogue, maybe) underneath.

והיה למרמס...

ממש בכניסה לישוב, מול תחנת אגד ומתחת לקפה "ניחוחים", יש שלט קטן המנציח תרומתו של אדם חישוב
 
התרומה בעצם ניתנה לפני הרבה שנים ואינני זוכר את הסכום ואולם מכיוון שהמקום הקודם לא היה מתאים יותר, השלט הועבר למקומו הנוכחי
 
הנה מה שצילמתי הבוקר, יום ראשון
 



 
אם בעבר שמתי לב שהשלט היה עקום במקצת כאילו מישהו דרך עליו, הנה כנראה מישהו אחר ביקש לסיים את העבודה ודרך עליו ורמס אותו מתחת לרגלו
 
מה אגיד - לא מגיע לאדון פכמן שכך נכבד את תרומתו
