The Walls of Jam'a A-Sittin

South of the main road coming down the hill towards the Tel Shiloh area is an archaeological site, not adequately investigated, known as Jam'a A-Sittin, most probably the 'Friday Mosque' or 'The Band of the Sixty' and has also been referred to as 'Kubat A-Sakhina' (Dome of the Divine Presence).

It has Roman foundations, Byzantine elements and perhaps there is a Jewish structure (a synagogue, maybe) underneath.
